Buzz Image Group Launches Its Interactive Division
June 9, 2008
Buzz Image Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Maxime Landreville as artistic director for the Interactive. A multidisciplinary creator distinguished by his innovation and his keen design sense, Maxime will be an invaluable asset in developing the activities of Buzz Image Group’s brand-new integrated content studio. This interactive division will enable the implementation of Buzz version 2.0, signalling the beginning of a new era for the company.
“This is a truly exciting change which represents a major step forward ... a bit like when we moved from analogue to digital!,” remarks Benoît Drouin, executive vice-president of Buzz Image Group. Equally enthusiastic is Maxime Landreville, who is delighted to have found an ideal environment to make use of his creative arsenal: “I feel like I’ve been handed the keys to the biggest toy store in the world! Buzz is renowned for the achievements of its 3D, special effects and motion design experts, so I have on hand all the elements I need for total creative freedom.”
With a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications, Maxime earned his stripes at Cossette Communication Group, before taking on the role of artistic director at Fjord Interactive, where he was in charge of Web creation for Bell Canada, among others. Noted for his dynamic approach and the originality of his creative vision, Buzz Image Group’s new artistic director will focus his talents on developing multi-platform campaigns on the cutting-edge of design and technology.
Maxime Landreville’s hiring and the initiation of a new interactive division are part of Buzz Image Group’s global strategy, which seeks to take advantage of its experience serving both the Canadian and international markets. As president Richard Cormier says, “This new direction is the result of three years of reflection on Buzz’s services and its future in the industry. The redefining of Buzz is based on the need to offer more to companies and to allow the Canadian market to benefit from our experience in the United States.”
