Ford Fusion
When Toronto's Young and Rubicam were contacted to create a commercial for the new Ford Fusion, they had to come up with something that illustrated the car's exceptional performance and its stylish, cutting-edge appeal. Young and Rubicam came up with the idea of a reality-bending view of a car driving down the side of a building and parking vertically beside the door of a hip nightclub. After creating the concept, they contacted Flashcut and Buzz to help put it all together.
Working with stunning footage directed by Avion Film's Ian Robertson, Buzz and Flashcut used a wide range of techniques to make the unbelievable believable. CG animation generated the illusion of zero-gravity, 3D modeling was employed for reflection, lighting and details, and incredible 3D animation created the effect of water pouring up. Buzz created all the CG elements before handing them over to Toronto’s Flashcut for final compositing. From pre-production to the final product, Buzz worked with its partners to help make the magic their client needed.
